Panj Takht (The Five Sikh Takhts) :

Panj Takht are 5 important Gurudwaras of Sikhism which have a significant respect. In Sikhism, Guru is refrered as Sachcha Patshah (true king) and to his gaddi (spiritual seat) as Takht and the congregation he led as darbar (court). These Panj Takht take Religious, Social and Political decisions as required by Sikh community.

In 1609, Sri Guru Hargobind Singh established the first and the most important one of the Panj Takht 'Akal Takht' near Sri Harmandar Sahib (Golden Temple) at Amritsar.

Other Gurudwaras of Panj Takhts are :

- Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib 

- Takht Sri Damdma Sahib, Talwandi Sabo

- Takht Sri Patna Sahib, Patna Bihar

- Takht Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded, Maharashtra

Sikh Panj Takht are :

Akal Takht, Sri Akal Takhat SahibSri Akal Takht Sahib :

Akal Takht is the Supreme, Throne of Immortal, of Panj takht and is situated inside Golden Temple complex in Amritsar. 

Akal Takht is Social and Political headquarters for the Sikh community. It is also Supreme Sikh authority to take all decisions on Social, Political, Economic and Religious welfare of Sikh community. The decision of Sri Akal Takht are respected by Sikhs all over the world. 

Takht Sri Damdama Sahib,  Takhat Talwandi SaboTakht Sri Damdama Sahib :

Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, the fifth Takht, is situated at Talwandi Sabo near Bhatindain Punjab.  

Takht Damdama Sahib has linked to the Tenth Sikh Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh, who prepared the revised and authentic version of the Adi Granth which is now being honored by the Sikhs as Guru Granth Sahib, their perpetual Guru or spiritual guide or teacher. 

The compiled final edition of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, in 1705, is also known as the Damdama Sahib Bir.

Takht Sri Damdama Sahib was officially recognized as the fifth Takht on Novemver 18, 1966. 

Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib, Gurudwara Takhat Anandpur SahibTakht Sri Keshgarh Sahib :

Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib is situated at Sri Anandpur Sahib in PUnjab.

The foundation stone of Takht Sri Keshgarh sahib was laid on March 30,1689. 

Takht Sri Keshgrah Sahib is the birthplace of the Khalsa with Sri Guru Gobind Singh called a special congregation on the 1699 Baisakhi day.

Kesgarh Sahib has many historical Relics which belonged to Sri Guru Gobind Singh.  

Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded  Gurudwara Takhat SahibTakht Sri Hazur Sahib : 

Takht Sachkhand ('Region of Truth') Sri Hazur Sahib is situated in Nanded City of Maharashtra.

AT Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib, Sri Guru Gobind Singh left for Heavenly abode. The inner room of the Takht Sahib is called 'Angitha Sahib' and is built over the place where Sri Guru Gobind Singh was cremated in 1708. 

Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib, Takhat Patna SahibTakht Sri Patna Sahib :

Takht Sri Patna Sahib (also know as Sri Harmandir Sahib, Patna) is situated in Patna cityof Bihar.

At Takht Patna Sahib, Tenth Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh was born in 1666 and spent his early childhood here before moving to Anandpur Sahib. 

Takht Patna Sahib was also visited by Sri Guru Nanak and Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur. 

Many important historical Relics of Sri Guru Gobind Singh are preserved at Takhat Sri Patna Sahib.
